Self- Compassion is holding and loving ourselves as we would a dear friend. It is learning to gently stay in our body, to listen to what it has to say. It is accepting ourselves, just as we are in this moment. It is turning towards our feelings of stress or our inner pain, with tender loving care.

In a world where we are taught to take care of everyone around us but ourselves, let's take an hour out of our busy schedule to reconnect with ourselves.

This group is ideal for stressed out mothers, all mothers and, women new to self-compassion mindfulness, all women in the community.

  What is Self-Compassion?
Self-compassion is extending compassion to oneself in instances of perceived inadequacy, failure, or general suffering. Dr Kristin Neff, PhD, has pioneered and defines self-compassion as being composed of three main components – mindfulness, common humanity, and self-kindness.

01

Mindfulness

It is the process of observing our breath and body, as well as inner world. It is noticing our emotions and where we carry them in our body. When we are aware of our pain, physical and emotional, we can start the journey of self-acceptance and healing.

02

Common Humanity

Reminding ourselves how suffering is part of our human experience, and we all experience it (to various degree)

We realise, we aren’t as alone as we think we are.

For instance: a lot of mothers feel isolated and depleted of their energy. Women are discriminated against and forever fighting just to excite.

03

Self - Kindness

Taking time to sooth and to love ourselves through our inner pain, challenges, life itself, as we would with a dear friend of ours.

Becoming your own BFF will open the doors of your mind, body and spirit, (your life) for more joy, and happiness.
